We are well placed in carrying out research on a realm of human topics: applied social studies, economics, business and management, industrial relations, demographics, population matters and related topics employing a mix of methodologies such as analytical literature reviews, quantitative and qualitative surveys, cross-cultural research, scoping analysis, content analysis and participatory rural appraisals.
- Lofa Rice Study: Liberia Strategic Agency an analysis of the rice in Liberia. It involves an evaluation of the rice value chain in Foya and Voinjama districts of Lofa; Social Impact Inc. Liberia Strategic Analysis (LSA) Activity 2020
- Liberia Big Belly Business (BBB) Program: This evaluation aims to review the design and implementation and assess its processes. It also examines similar programs by The Open Society Foundations (OSF) and OSIWA in other countries. Evaluations were carried out in Rivercess, Grand Bassa, and Margibi counties. OSIWA, 2019.
- Economic Empowerment of Adolescent Girls (EPAG): Impact assessment of project designed to work with adolescent and young women of ages 17 to 27 to assist them acquire skills that will improve their chances of economic livelihood through skills development or income generating activities. Study is sponsored by the World Bank on behalf of the Government of Liberia, Finnish Government, Nike Foundation and The World Bank. 2009 – 2012
- Poverty Assessment Tools: A nation-wide study to construct tools for assessing the impact of USAID funded projects in poverty alleviation. Study commissioned by The IRIS Center of the University of Maryland, USA. 2008-2009
- Girl Vulnerability Assessment Survey done in Urban and Peri-Urban areas of Liberia to obtain indications of the situation with adolescent girls. The study was commissioned and funded by Nike Foundation/World Bank. 2008
- Designed and conducted a baseline household survey funded by World Bank and International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) on a result- based-initiative (RBI) in northern Liberia. The study was carried out in the district of Ganta, Nimba County Nimba focusing at a value-added project for Ganta Concern Women Groups (GCWG). The study identified baseline indicators for future evaluation of the project. It employed both quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Findings from the research were processed, analyzed under a tabulation plan and submitted to ICRW. 2007/2008
- Designed and conducted a food and nutrition baseline study on food security in six counties in Northern, Central, and South-eastern Liberia. Specifically, the study sought information and data on the: (I) health situation in the target communities; (II) food security situation in project area; and (III) coping mechanisms of vulnerable households. It also sought to guide and enhance the relevance of its interventions in the local communities in which project activities are being implemented. - Agriculture Baseline Survey, Designed and conducted in three counties of Liberia to collect benchmark data and information to: (a) develop profiles (social, economic and demographic); (b) determine the status of food production; and household food security within the project area of World Vision Liberia. (Funded by World Vision Liberia, 2000)
- Cost Sharing Baseline Study; Designed and conducted a baseline survey in six counties of Liberia to determine the ability and willingness of the population to share the cost of drugs and medical supplies; study was an element of a planning exercise leading to the re-introduction of a cost sharing scheme by the National Drug Service. (EU funded, 2000)
- Designed and conducted the Monrovia Baseline Survey, research to collect process and analyze baseline multi-sectoral data on the population in Monrovia and its suburban communities. (EU funding) [Study was at the date processing stage but aborted when factional fighting erupted in April 1996 in Monrovia.]
- Assessed UNICEF’s Micro Credit Project that was implement by a Liberian Women’s Group under its Abused Women and Girls Project (AWAG) (UNICEF funding)
- Post-conflict rehabilitation needs of Liberia; assessment was to serve as the basis of the Bank’s resumption of programs in Liberia, but those prospects were compromised when the armed conflict flared in 1992 (ADB funding)
- Impact assessment of the US$21 million USAID funded Monrovia Consolidated School System; study provided valuable lessons for future USAID funding to Liberia (USAID funding)
